HEY ….A HERO’S WELCOME.. WE HAVE A CHANCE TO SAY “WELCOME HOME” TO SEAN PETRONDI ON SUNDAY, March 24th .. if you remember, we welcomed Sean home back in 2009 when Sean returned from Iraq.  Sean has re-enlisted twice since then and now is returning from a deployment to Afghanistan.

Let’s get out and show this Soldier how much we appreciate his service!

Sean’s parents Deb and Phil have  been very active in AHW and WWR.  They have been instrumental in our missions to welcome home many other Heroes and also they have worked to organize “Socks for our Troops” sending thousands of Socks to our troops overseas.. giving them just a little touch of comfort while enduring very “uncomfortable” conditions while over seas.

Who: Army Sgt. Sean Petrondi
What: Welcome Home Mug n Hug

Where: West Chester
When: Sunday 3/24
Rally Time: 10 am
KSU: 10:30am

Rally Location: Parkway Shopping Center

Bio below from Deb, make sure you read it to the end:

SEAN CAME TO ME DURING HIS SENIOR YEAR IN HIGH SCHOOL AFTER HE HAD ALREADY TALKED TO ARMY RECRUITERS.  HE HAD MADE UP HIS MIND TO ENLIST AND GO TO BASIC TRAINING THAT JULY.  I LISTENED TO HIM,. TALKED WITH HIM, AND STOOD BEHIND HIM.

SEAN’S GRANDFATHER (MATERNAL) SERVED IN THE AIR FORCE AND HIS GREAT-GRANDFATHER (ALSO MATERNAL) SERVED HIS COUNTRY AS A WARRANT OFFICER FOR THE NAVY FOR MANY YEARS.

SEAN’S BASIC TRAINING WAS AT FORT BENNING GEORGIA WHERE HE GRADUATED AT THE END OF THAT SUMMER AS AN AMMUNITION SPECIALIST. HE DID HIS ADVANCED TRAINING IN ALABAMA AT REDSTONE ARSENAL.

UPON COMPLETION, HE WAS SENT TO SOUTH KOREA FOR A YEAR FOR HIS FIRST BASE ASSIGNMENT. SEAN’S NEXT ASSIGNMENT WAS AT FORT SILL IN OKLAHOMA.  THERE HE DECIDED TO RE-UP FOR ANOTHER FOUR YEARS.

HE THEN WENT OVERSEAS TO BE STATIONED IN GERMANY AT THE STORCK BARRACKS, ILLESHEIM.  DURING THAT STAY SEAN WAS DEPLOYED TO IRAQ.  WE WERE VERY HAPPY TO WELCOME HIM HOME FROM THAT DEPLOYMENT BACK IN JUNE OF 2009. (WITH THE HELP OF THE WARRIORS WATCH, A HERO’S WELCOME, AND THE SHEEPDOGS)

MOST RECENTLY SEAN HAS BEEN STATIONED IN COLORADO SPRINGS WHERE HE ONCE AGAIN DECIDED TO RE-ENLIST IN THE ARMY.  HE HAS NOW SERVED HIS COUNTRY FOR EIGHT YEARS WITH A CURRENT COMMITMENT OF ANOTHER FOUR.

SEAN ENJOYS HIS FRIENDS, BUT HIS WORLD IS HIS SON, JON LUCAS WHO IS NOW 4 ½.  HE IS AN ADORABLE BRIGHT HANDSOME LITTLE BOY. SEAN HAS TWO OLDER BROTHERS, BILLY AND PATRICK WITH WHOM HE IS CLOSE.  NOTHING LIKE BROTHERLY LOVE!

SEAN’S STEP FATHER PHIL SAM HAS BEEN ACTIVE WITH THE WARRIORS WATCH SINCE THEY WELCOMED SEAN HOME IN JUNE OF 2009.
