The NEW Women Veterans Civic Leadership Institute @ The Summer Retreat will be held on Saturday, June 27 & Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Chestnut Hill College located in the beautiful and historic district of Chestnut Hill in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

As in past years, our Women Veterans Summer Retreat host all Women Veterans, Active Duty Servicewomen, Reservists, National Guard, Military Widows, Military Spouses and Military Moms too! We convene delegations of Military Women from Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Washington, DC and the Commonwealth of Virginia.

The Women Veterans Civic Leadership Institute ( WVCLI) @ The Summer Retreat is an interactive, two-day, intensive conference series dedicated to teaching America’s Military Women the Fundamentals of Civic Leadership & Community Engagement. The WVCLI prepares participants to become trained and skillful advocates in support of issues committed to improving the overall lives of Women Veterans and Military Families.

You will learn from the Region’s Leading Experts; Civic Engagement Educators; Professional Coaches; Public Speaking Specialists; Media Training Leaders; study “real-life” Board of Directors Case Study Scenarios; attend Panel Discussions with other emerging leaders; and participate in Topical Debates.

The WVCLI @ The Summer Retreat kicks-off with a high energy Power Breakfast which sets the stage for two-days of high-level learning.  The Power Breakfast is followed by: “The Board Room” Roundtable Exercises; Civic Leaders Caucus Sessions; Caucus Breakouts in Conversation Hall; Toastmasters Speakers Training; and Media Training Clinics.  Additionally, participants will enjoy networking in our 2015 “Insiders Lunch with Women Leaders” and our signature “Leaders & Legends Luncheon Program.” Both days of our 2-day civic leadership summer retreat prepares participants for their official entry into The Women Veterans Civic Leadership Institute.

At The Summer Retreat, you can register onsite to become a Fellow in The 2015 Inaugural Class of The Women Veterans Civic Leadership Institute. You will continue forward in our 5 month, in-classroom Civic Leadership Learning Series hosted one Saturday a month at Chestnut Hill College, September – December 2015.

Civic Leader Fellows at the Women Veterans Civic Leadership Institute are dynamic social entrepreneurs uniquely trained and equipped to serve as America’s newest agents of social change. They are passionate about civic engagement and embolden as civic leaders.

Register Today! You too can become a NEW FACE in Civic Leadership and Community Engagement.
