Wreaths Across America – Gloucester County veterans and volunteers will honor veterans during a ceremony on Saturday, December 5th at 10:00 a.m. at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The ceremony will be followed by individual grace ceremonies and the laying of 2,300 wreaths covering all grave sites at the Cemetery.
Family of interred veterans are invited to a private gathering and wreath laying on the day of the event at 9:00 a.m.
The Veterans Advisory Committee encourages residents to make donations which will enable them to purchase wreaths for the event. Volunteers are also needed to help lay the wreaths at individual grave sites on the day of the ceremony. Interested volunteers will meet at 9:45 a.m. on the day of the event.
Wreaths with ribbons can be purchased for $6.00 each and all checks should be made payable to “People for People” with “Wreaths” included in the memo line. Please mail checks to PO Box 256, Mullica Hill, NJ 08062 by Tuesday, December 1st. All money donated to the “Wreaths of Remembrance” will directly benefit the program.
