The Battleship will celebrate Victory in World War II with WWII re-enactors, artifacts, Big Band dancing and even an overnight!
The Battleship’s annual WWII Victory Day will take place on Saturday, August 13. Guests touring the Battleship can experience WWII artifacts and re-enactors on the ship, and even military vehicles on the pier. WWII activities, exlucing the lunch and dance, can be experienced with a tour of the Battleship. Any WWII re-enactor or artifacts owner who would like to participate, can email groups@battleshipnewjersey
We are also throwing a Victory Lunch and Dance on the fantail from noon to 3pm! Enjoy a barbecue lunch, and then swing dance to the 1940s live music of The Big Band from the Valley, who will perform from 1pm to 3pm We’ll have a cash bar available. You can also enjoy a tour of the Battleship as part of the Lunch and Dance package. Ticks etto the Lunch and Dance are a $30 donation for adults and $24 for children under 16. There’s also an overnight on Saturday, August 13. Families can enjoy dinner and breakfast served from the Chowline, tour the Battleship, ride the flight simulator and sleep in the bunks that the crew of the USS New Jersey once did.
